Speaker Bio

Julie Kim is one of Canada’s top stand-up comedians. She recently completed a cross-country tour with multiple sold-out theatre shows. Julie headlines major comedy clubs in the United States and has expanded her reach to Australia and the UK. Julie is also a writer and producer, and Canadian Screen Award winner.

Julie brings a unique profile and value proposition for private and corporate events. She is sought after as a comedian, emcee, facilitator, and speaker. Her deep corporate experience (in technology, healthcare, and business) as well as academic experience (doctoral-level research and teaching at graduate and undergraduate levels) makes her an extremely versatile and high-level entertainer and speaker. She is a lover of science, engineering, ideas, and joy.

As a speaker, Julie connects with audiences on a variety of topics that can include: grit and perseverance, mental health and wellness, life and career transformation, and authenticity and empowerment as a female, woman of colour, and mother who has broken barriers in the entertainment industry.
