Stay Here: The Case for Improv in Education & Health Care

In classrooms, clinics, and care settings, the ability to stay fully present isn’t just a skill—it’s essential. Educators and health care professionals are asked to manage constant interruptions, emotional demands, and rapidly changing situations, often all at once. This engaging keynote by Funny Woman Linda Kash introduces improv as a practical, human-centered tool for strengthening focus, adaptability, and meaningful connection—while spotlighting an often-overlooked driver of resilience: levity.

Drawing on decades of experience as both a performer and teacher, Kash delivers a 45-minute interactive session designed for real-world application. Through simple, low-pressure exercises, participants experience firsthand how easily attention drifts in high-demand environments—and how quickly clarity, responsiveness, and connection return when they refocus on the present moment. The result is an energizing, inclusive experience that respects the seriousness of the work while making space for genuine fun.

Inspiring better focus, stronger listening skills, and greater ease in navigating unpredictable moments—paired with practical tools for using levity and laughter to reduce stress, build connection, and sustain meaningful work.

Improv for the Classroom

In this engaging and highly interactive keynote, Linda Kash helps educators reconnect with what brought them to teaching in the first place—and shows how being fully present in the moment can transform how you teach.  Through humour, storytelling, and light improv participation, Linda shares practical strategies to:

  • Get out of your own head and back into the classroom
  • Reignite creativity and spontaneity—even on the hard days
  • Build stronger, more authentic connections
  • Bring energy and joy back into your teaching practice

Testimonials

In November, we had Linda Kash as our guest speaker at our monthly meeting focused on “Connecting on Purpose”. She was an absolute delight – funny, yet so effective in getting us to more comfortable building and strengthening our connections through interactive networking.

Our event sold out quickly and the feedback from our members and guests was off the charts. This event also garnered much positive media attention for the Women’s Business Network. We look forward to having her join us again.

Linda Kash came to our office during a time when our team was going through a lot of change. There was not only a thirst for excitement and fun, but we were also searching for a way to get people at the office collaborating and talking to each other. Linda’s workshop was exactly what we needed. She was fun, enthusiastic and inclusive – with a 2 hour session that left us asking for more. Somehow she even found a way to get the quietest people at the office to be the stars of the show and performing in front of the entire office. We definitely look forward to working with her again in the future!

Linda Kash’s gentle coaching encouraged even the shyest of participants to join in. The laughter could be heard down the hall! I would recommend a workshop with Linda to any organization. To reduce stress, encourage team building and just to have fun!
