You can find all kinds of speaker options on the internet right? Yes. But a great speaker is good before, during and after a presentation. A great speaker does their homework. They are easy to deal with and passionate and authentic about how they approach their audience. They are low maintenance and they deliver high value.

Ask and you may receive. There are many high-profile artists and performers who love to travel and get in front of many different audiences. And yes, your next corporate event might be the one they accept. There are a few key pieces of information you’ll need to know.

If you’re looking to engage one of these household names, it’s important to work with the experts and cover off a few key details.

Communication Is Key

Communication is an art. It’s also very important to have clear communication in your organization. The reason seems pretty self-explanatory, however why is this one of the top issues in a variety of organizations. Lorraine…

2016 Hot Summer Reads

Posted June 22, 2016
Summer is finally upon us and brings opportunities to do things that we don’t get to do the rest of the year. Things like reading a book at the beach; reading a book in a hammock; reading a book on a sunny deck. I’m feeling ready to soak up some rays and soak up some knowledge too! My #1 read has got to be #AskGaryVee. I’ll be honest, I’m in a bit of debate whether I’m purchasing the book or the audio book because I LOVE a good Gary rant!

Slow Meetings

It was also fun to see an array of Event Planners our team at LimeLight have worked with throughout the article. In the business of live events, the key to success so often depends on well executed sound and lighting. To me, the sound guy (or gal) is the most important person in the room. They can easily make or break an event, all with the touch of a button.

How to Turn Managers into Leaders

Posted March 20, 2016
It’s great to hear an audience rave about Merge Gupta-Sunderji but it’s also not a surprise.  Merge is that kind of person you want to spend time with. She’s real, engaging and funny. It’s evident when you see her natural ability presenting to audiences. Merge has one singular focus – to turn managers into leaders!
Pete Luckett

Yes. He did it. And he’d love to share the story.

I have had the honor of working with Pete Luckett as his agent and manager for over 20 years. And in that time, I have never witnessed a more charismatic, committed and creative entrepreneur. The recent sale of Pete's Fine Foods to Sobeys was big news, and yes, to some a disappointment. But there are some great business lessons here we shouldn't overlook.
